When Nightmares Come (Osprey Bluebook series)

Last week I picked up a copy of When Nightmares Come by Patrick Todoroff.  It is a game of modern supernatural investigation.   Think Ghostbusters, Stranger Things, Scooby Doo.  The concept seems fun, and the rules seem pretty simple.    There are three character types, a warrior, a wizard, and a tinker/mechanic.  It uses a dice pool mechanic consisting on d6, d8 and d10.  Everything works off a success of 4+, and you can use the dice as you see fit to make sure your actions succeed.  There were a few errors here and there,  my favorite being 288mm scale.  I am of course now tempted to print a figure at that scale.  Maybe I can use some busts.  Anyways, this is a common complaint about the Blue Book series, the minor typos here and there.  They don't bother me too much.   I think the rules look fun, I think the game will play well.  I am excited to print and paint some new models as always.  I am a...

2024-04-08 Daily Bible Reading

 Exodus 18 Moses listened to advice from his elder and surrounded himself with Godly people. Psalm 95 Don't harden your heart.  Do as the Lord tells you. I won't lie, I feel like crap today.  I was sick all day yesterday, I didn't sleep well last night. Went to sleep with a headache and woke up with a headache.  My stomach still feels terrible.  I'm not complaining, but I am explaining why it feels like today I just went through the motions of reading my Bible.    But now that I am putting all my thoughts down here, I see a theme in todays reading.
